What is the IDEC?
This is approximately a 12-month course that provides students with
an analytical and
technical framework to understand the emerging world of e-commerce and
will cover the Key Skills underpinning this emerging technology.
Who is IDEC for?
As a Diploma level course, the IDEC does not require in depth technical
skills as a prerequisite for entry to the programme. However, to successfully
complete the course, basic IT skills are required.
This course is
designed for
" Individuals
who wish to develop a basic understanding of e-commerce and business
issues so as to equip them with relevant skills and knowledge to undertake
responsibilities.
" Professionals
and Executives in marketing or other business functions, who wish to
enhance their career opportunities specifically in the area of on-line
marketing and Media Management.
" Individuals
who wish to gain credit transfer to degree studies in Electronic Commerce
related programmes.
Entry requirements
1 GCE A Level and 4 GCSEs (or local equivalent) grade 3 or above. Must
include Language of Examination OR an ICCS (pass grade). Other qualification
will be considered subject to approval from NCC.

and 25% of the overall mark is on centre-set examination

on assignment and 25% of the overall mark is on centre-set examination
5. Java - Introduction - 75% of the overall mark is based on assignment
and 25% of the overall mark is on centre-set examination
6. Essentials of E-Commerce - 75% of the overall mark is based on assignment
and 25% of the overall mark is on centre-set examination
7. Electronic Marketing - 100% of the overall mark is on a final Global
NCC exam
8. Electronic Security - 100% of the overall mark is on a final Global
NCC exam
