aims to: 3) TARGET AUDIENCE: The scheme is aimed at anyone who wishes to use a variety of computer applications effectively. It is suitable for candidates in schools or colleges, and for those in or entering employment. The scheme provides a broad basis for those intending to go on to specialised or advanced studies. 4) LEVEL OF ACHIEVEMENT: New CLAIT has been designed to assess skills at level 1/Foundation Level of the National Qualifications Framework, and is comparable in demand to NVQs at Level 1 and GNVQs at Foundation Level 5) CERTIFICATION: Candidates who achieve
the core unit (Unit 1) plus four optional units will be awarded an OCR
Level 1 Certificate for IT Users (New CLAIT)
New CLAIT caters for the full range of learners in IT, whether in school, college training further education or employment. It is ideally suited for those who have had only a very basic introduction to the use of IT, are working at Level 1, and who wish to gain accreditation for newly acquired skill at this level. 7) QUALIFICATION STRUCTURE AND FORM OF ASSESMENT: In order to achieve the OCR Level 1 Certificate for IT Users (New CLAIT), candidates must achieve the core unit plus for optional units A summary of the units available is proved below Unit status Unit
